Fate

In ancient Greece, people believed that the fate of someone was controlled by the Moirai, who worked for the Gods and by judging the lifestyle of a person they would give them good or bad luck.
Zenovia was a young girl who lived in Sparta, her father was a general in the army so she hardly saw or knew him. She spent most of her days in the house with her mom who taught her, how to cook and do the house chores. When she wasn't at home she spent her free time in the temple, praying for her father to return victorious and praying that one day she would also marry a man as brave as her father.
Few years later Zenovia was now an adult and she ought to get married. When she first heard that her mom wanted to give her to an old man who had just lost his wife she ran to the temple. There she prayed to the Gods that the old man dies and they give her a brave husband who would be worthy. The Gods heard her prayers and the old man died.
One day her mom send her to the forest to gather some flowers for the celebration of the victory of her father. She was in the forest searching for the flowers when suddenly she heard a deer screaming and running towards her, frightened she began running. All of a sudden she heard the deer screech and fall down. She went towards it to see what happened and she saw a tall young man armored. He tells her "Do not be frightened, I killed the deer" She then thanked him and brought him to her father. Who hearing about his bravery told him "Thank you for saving my daughter, If you fight and win my strongest soldier I will give her to you" the young man accepted the challenge.
The next day all the generals and soldiers gathered to see the fight of the young man and their strongest soldier called Beast cause of his height and body statue. The young man was stripped off his armor and was given a staff and sling as weapon. He quickly finds a stone, and as the fight begins he dodges the two first strikes. He then finds an open field and strikes with the stone hitting the forehead of the beast resulting to its death. Everyone then howled with joy and the father said : " You truly are a strong warrior, as I promised my daughter is yours"
Zenovia was very happy and went to the temple to thank the Gods cause she had met her fate in the eyes of a soldier...
